Community Participation: To reach out and connect
Keeping in view the need for the students to indulge in community engagement programs and to savour the taste of experiential learning, community reach out activities are conducted in the Vidyalaya. These programs undoubtedly help students to seek real lifetime objectives in supporting the society they live in and developing a deeper understanding for themselves. The Scouts and Guides of the Vidyalaya have made it a practise to visit the old age home, Mahatma Janasevana Kendram, Adoor on the occasion of World Thinking Day every year. They find joy and satisfaction in collecting clothes, food, stationary etc for the inmates at the old age home and sharing quality time with them. Under the campaign Swachhata Hi Seva, Principal Shri N Rakhesh, along with the teachers and students participated in Shramadaan by engaging themselves in reaching out to the community by collecting plastic and other non-degradable waste littered outside the campus. These activities when carried out in its true spirit and intention help them to understand the need for a healthy environment for physical well-being. Children at KV Adoor have realised that immense joy comes from building a healthy relationship within the society they live in.
